The Spiritual Eclipse

El Amanecer de la Esperanza – MM · Articles

The Bible teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ is the sun of righteousness, who brings salvation in his wings (Mal 4:2). He is the light that gives light to every man who comes into this world, according to the Gospel of John (John 1:9). Men live on the earth, and it is the footstool of the Lord’s feet (Matt 5:35). The church, typologically, is the moon, because it has no light of its own, but receives it from the sun and projects it onto the earth. The moon shines at night, when the sun does not emit its light. All of this is applicable to the church.

Jesus is the light of the world (the sun) (John 8:12; 9:5). The church, according to Jesus himself, is also the light of the world (the moon) (Matt 5:14). The church, like the moon, has no light of its own, but takes the light of Jesus, the sun of righteousness, and projects it onto the earth (onto men). The church shines at night, like the moon. The earth is living in the darkness of night, because of sin and the kingdom of darkness. Christ went to heaven and left his light to the church so that it may illuminate the earth with the light of the gospel.

When the church does not live in light, that is, projecting the light it receives from Christ (the sun), an eclipse occurs. This phenomenon consists of the moon coming between the sun and the earth and preventing the sun’s light from reaching the earth. The result is absolute darkness. Sadly, that is what is happening today with the church as the moon of the Kingdom of God: instead of taking the light it receives from Christ and shining on the earth, it is becoming the obstacle, it is placing itself between heaven and earth. Instead of being light, it is becoming the cause of darkness.

This is the big headline in the media today: ”THE MOON BETWEEN THE SUN AND THE EARTH”.

Prophetically, this translates: “The church between Christ and man.” The message is this: the one that was created, called, and equipped to project the light, or to let it pass through, eclipses it or obstructs it. This is the call to the church, or to the faithful remnant of God: “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. And the nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising” (Isaiah 60:1-3). Amen.

Revelation received by Pastor Juan Radhamés Fernández today, 8/21/2017, the day of a total solar eclipse, which will cover 14 states, and a part of which will be visible in all fifty states of the American union. In other nearby countries it will be partially visible.
