Prophetic Message 2011: Paradoxical Year

2011: paradoxical year, in which things will be cut in order to add and will be disintegrated in order to perfect.

At the beginning of the year 2000, the Lord told us that the first years of this millennium (up to the 12th) would be prophetic. So that we may understand the heavenly language, God speaks to us through symbols and types the revelation that this interval of time hides. 2010 was the year of totality and the new order, since the number 10 represents the perfect order. The 11, which is a number added to the 10, breaks that order, and since 11 is also one less than 12 (which represents the perfection of the government of God), it totally disintegrates it.

If we analyze eleven through the biblical narrative, we will see that it is a number that signifies disorganization and disintegration. Many tragic things happened on the eleventh journey in God’s dealings with Israel in the wilderness. The nation was tested and disapproved on its eleventh march, at Kadesh-barnea (Deuteronomy 1:2). At this stay the twelve spies were sent to scout the land that Jehovah promised to the children of Israel, but because of the evil report of ten of them and because of their unbelief and that of the people, God swore that they would not enter into His rest. It was also there that Moses received the punishment of not being able to enter the promised land, because he did not sanctify the name of Jehovah. And in this same place Korah, Dathan, and Abiram also rebelled; and Miriam died and was buried (Numbers 13, 14, 16 and 20:1-13). So the eleventh journey, Kadesh-Barnea, was for Israel a stay of disintegration, and a time of loss and halting of the divine purpose.

In the same way, the New Testament illustrates for us the symbolism of the number eleven. The Lord Jesus Christ chose 12 disciples, but when Judas sinned the number twelve, which represents the perfect government of God, is disintegrated, and is reduced to 11. But the Lord, who always substitutes in order to arrange and bring His government to perfection, restored it and another took his place (Acts 1:12-26). Likewise, in the Gospel according to Matthew we find a parable in which the Lord compared the Kingdom of Heaven to a householder who hired workers to work in his vineyard, and at the time of paying the wage, he pays the same wage to those who came at the eleventh hour as to those of the first hours (Matthew 20:1-16). So in year 11 God says that He will take the last and make them first, giving them all the same honor, because the eleventh hour will be a stage of grace and mercy, where the generosity of God will be manifested by turning the last into first.

The coming of our Lord is at the door, for of the 4 watches He mentions (evening, midnight, cockcrow, and morning – Mark 13:35-37), the first three have already passed, and only the fourth remains, in which the eleventh hour is included, which corresponds to 5 in the morning. At present, we are living in the eleventh hour, so this year 2011 will mark prophetically many things about the coming of the Lord. Also in Matthew 14:22-33, we see that a storm came in the fourth watch of the night, and just as that boat was battered by the waves, in the same way the church will be shaken and the dry leaves will be removed. In year 11 a storm is unleashed upon the church, and only Jesus will be able to save it. Contrary winds are coming, the Lord announces, because God desires that in year 12 His people be submitted to His government and walking in uprightness of heart, to carry out His purpose. There will be turmoil in the church, but Jesus will appear and say: “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid!”. Many will live Peter’s experience and will get out of the boat to look at the storm and will sink, but the Lord is going to lift them up and bring them into the boat again, and then the wind that was contrary to them will calm (Matthew 14:32).

This year will be like Joseph, who, although he was the 11th son born to Jacob, when he disappeared and then appeared, became the 12th (Genesis 42:13; 45:1-5). Although year 11 speaks to us of disintegration, of something incomplete, it also prepares the way for year 12, the time of the perfect regime, where God will complete His government. It is important to note that although the number eleven has such a negative meaning, the word eleven in Hebrew means to arrange and to unify. Therefore, in this year we will see both things: things will be cut in order to unite, will be disintegrated in order to perfect, and the last will be added to make it first. For this reason, 2011 represents something paradoxical, since in it things that appear to be opposites are united. It will also be a year of unity, preservation, and deliverance. Those who are missing will enter the boat, and when the disappeared ones arrive, they will be like Joseph, preservers of the purpose.

The call of the Lord to His church this year is to prepare the way for what He will do in the year 2012 and those that follow, for which He warns us: “See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to root out and to destroy, to ruin and to throw down, to build and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:10). There will be no peace for the world or for the wicked. And although in the world there will be disintegration, crisis, and disorder, where events will be rapid and abrupt, in the church the Lord will appear, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite (Isaiah 57:15). There is a people who will submit to God voluntarily, whom He will heal and shepherd and give comfort. He who began the good work will finish it, and everything that is incomplete God will complete, and He will reign forever. Amen. [Prophetic word from Pastor Juan R. Fernández for the year 2011].
