Abortion

El Amanecer de la Esperanza – RD · Biblical Counsel

To abort is to deprive a child of life in his mother’s womb—at whatever stage of development—thereby preventing his birth. There are miscarriages, and there are others that are induced. The latter is murder, because the life is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11), and every time blood is shed on the earth, it cries out to God for justice (Genesis 4:10). Now let the Word of God minister to your heart:

Psalms 22:10
“Upon You I was cast before I was born; From my mother’s womb, You are my God”

Psalms 139:13-15
“For You formed my inward parts; You made me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, because fearful and wonderful are Your works; I am amazed, and my soul knows it very well. My body was not hidden from You, though I was formed in secret, and woven together in the depths of the earth”

Psalms 139:16
“Your eyes saw my embryo, And in Your book were written all those things That were later formed, Without one of them lacking”

Isaiah 44:2
“Thus says Jehovah, your Maker, and He who formed you from the womb, who will help you: Fear not, My servant Jacob, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen”

Isaiah 49:1-5
“Hear me, coastlands, and listen, distant peoples. Jehovah called me from the womb; from my mother’s body He kept my name in remembrance. And He made my mouth like a sharp sword; He covered me with the shadow of His hand; and He made me a polished arrow, He kept me in His quiver; and He said to me: You are My servant, O Israel, for in you I will be glorified. But I said: I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and without profit; yet my cause is with Jehovah, and my reward with my God. And now, says Jehovah, He who formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him and to gather Israel to Him (for I will be esteemed in the eyes of Jehovah, and my God shall be my strength”

Isaiah 66:9
“I who cause to give birth, shall I not cause to be born? says Jehovah. I who cause to conceive, shall I prevent the birth? says your God”

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I sanctified you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations”

Galatians 1:15
“But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb, and called me by His grace”
