Redeeming the Time

El Amanecer de la Esperanza – MM · Articles

The dawn is the sign of the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living, because his mercy is renewed every morning. Each day is a new opportunity from God for the children of men. We are blessed when we understand that life is short, but the purpose of our Creator is great and sacred. Wasting time on trivialities not only offends our Creator and harms our earthly purpose, but also affects our eternal reward.

Our salvation was assigned to the Lord Jesus, and he accomplished it with unspeakable humiliation and immeasurable sacrifice. To live seeking what is ours and not what is his—such as despising time by investing it in vain things—is to betray his love and to disregard his cross.

In one minute a life can be saved; in one minute a tragedy can be avoided; in one minute a sad person can be comforted; in one minute a discouraged person can be encouraged. How much can be accomplished in one minute, and even in thirty seconds! In less than a minute you can smile, but how much a smile can do. In less than a minute you can offer a warm greeting, but how much healing it can bring to a soul in need of affection and acceptance. Life is short, but when used for God it can be long and effective.

I leave you with the inspired word of the apostle Paul: “Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. […] See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Col. 4:5; Eph. 5:15, 16).

I love you and I respect you. I also rejoice to see the purpose of the Eternal Father being fulfilled in you. Keep communicating. Never forget: in relationship there is impartation. Shalom
