Prophetic message given to our congregation on December 31, 2005, by Pastor Juan Radhamés Fernández.
“For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and with him who is broken and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the broken” -Isaiah 57:15
Everything that is elevated, high, and exalted represents to human eyes something unattainable and prominent; so we must understand the sublimity and height that are in God. But although He is High and Lofty and dwells in the high and holy place, He also dwells with the humble to revive the heart of the broken, of those who are below, to lift them up, to the right hand of His power. For this reason, God is a lover of high places and seeks high places in which to dwell.
Noah’s ark rested on the mountains of Ararat (Genesis 8:4) and God preserved his life and that of his sons when the waters covered the earth and He destroyed every living soul. On Mount Horeb He appeared to Moses in the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-2), and gave him the charge to bring His people out of Egypt so that they might serve Him in the wilderness; and it was on Mount Sinai that God wrote the tablets of the law with His finger (Exodus 24:12-16).
The high mountain of Bashan; the mount of Zion, which is Hermon; (Psalms 68:15; Deuteronomy 4:48) are the mountains of God. From the mountains and the hills He speaks to us. For this reason, Jehovah forbade Israel to worship idols in the high places and on the hills, and commanded them to destroy them completely (Leviticus 26:30 Deuteronomy 12:2).
Each mountain of God has a message for us. Mount Carmel showed us that Jehovah is God, just as that high place called Golgotha spoke to us of His love and His mercy, showing His Son Jesus Christ crucified to beget a new race of men, as Creator and eternal King (1 Kings 18:37-39, John 3:16).
Jehovah establishes the mountains with His power (Psalms 65:6). The strong mountain speaks to us of stability and prosperity, and also of abundance and security (Psalms 30:6-7; Amos 9:11-15; Joel 3:17-18). The mountains are also witnesses of the works of Jehovah (Psalms 114:1-4); of His judgments (Psalms 98:8); of His help and His protection (Psalms 121). The mountains represent divine justice (Psalms 36:5-6); God’s protecting love for His people (Psalms 125:1-2); His holiness (Psalms 24:1-4); His goodness (Psalms 30:7); and His eternity (Psalms 68:14-16). The best is above (Deuteronomy 32:10-13,14), for the dwelling place of Jehovah is Mount Zion (Isaiah 8:18) and from its heights He has blessed us. Therefore, salvation comes from above.
The Scriptures say that the blessing of Joseph extends to the farthest bound of the everlasting hills, abundant, thick, which God has given us as an inheritance (Genesis 49:22-26; Deuteronomy 33:13-17; Isaiah 58:14). Joseph is a fruitful branch, and that is why JAH gives us His blessing. Therefore, the year 2006 will be a year of elevation, ascension, and heights. In this year 2006, the Lord prophesies to us through His written Word, in those verses that describe the vision of the prophet Isaiah, where the universal reign of Jehovah is spoken of. Let us see:
“What Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. It shall come to pass in the last of the times that the mountain of the house of Jehovah shall be established as the head of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow to it. And many peoples shall come, and say: Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. And He shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they train anymore for war” -Isaiah 2:1-4
Let us apply this word to this time: The church represents the people of God, which will be established as “the mountain of the house of Jehovah” as the head of the mountains (Isaiah 2:2), and the peoples will come to the house of Jehovah and we will have peace. This year will be a year of growth, of abundance, of love. Prepare yourself for the abundance of God and the joy of the Holy Spirit. God is going to establish you on the mountain. Every kind of growth from God is coming for His people, which is why God asked us before to cleanse the camp of all uncleanness, to receive what is coming.
Jehovah is where there is honor, and He calls us to excellence. The sixth year corresponds to a number of man, but it is also a number of fullness and glory. On the sixth day God made man in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-31); therefore, the image of God is coming in us, so that the new man, Christ in us, may reign. In this way we are going to take dominion over everything that God has given us, as believers and as a church.
The church will multiply, because it will be a year of dominion and approval from God. The year 2007 will be a year of rest, as the earth rested on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2). And in the year 2008 there will be a restart.
The mountain of Jehovah is Mount Zion, the mountain of His holiness, because where God dwells there is holiness. The psalmist asked God: “Jehovah, who shall dwell in Your tabernacle? Who shall abide on Your holy mountain?” (Psalms 15:1), and Jehovah answered: “He who walks with integrity and does righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. He who does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor accepts any reproach against his neighbor. He in whose eyes the vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear Jehovah. He who, even swearing to his own hurt, does not change; who did not give his money at usury, nor accepted a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never slip” (vv. 2-5). For this reason, in the year 2005 the Lord asked us to cleanse ourselves in order to take us to His heights. Now “Come up with Me!” the Lord says to you.
