His Life

Pastor Juan Radhamés Fernández was born in the city of Santiago, Dominican Republic, on January 8, 1954, where he completed his primary and secondary studies. At the age of 16 he was converted to Christ, and this event changed his life radically, since his burning love for the salvation of souls led him to give up his dream of becoming a medical doctor and to give himself entirely to the life of God. In 1973 he moved to Puerto Rico to pursue his theological studies. There he met his future wife, Migdalia, with whom he later had two sons, Ibzán and Kelwin Isaac.

His Beginnings

Later, he traveled to the United States to continue his studies and settled in the city of New York. At the age of 25 he began his pastoral ministry, and in 1983 he started his radio ministry, “El Amanecer de la Esperanza,” bringing messages of restoration, comfort, and exhortation to the people of God in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

His Ministry

His constant search for the Lord led him to a new experience with God, to life in the Spirit, which compelled him to leave the religious institution where he worshiped, to be guided by the Spirit into the true life of God. It was then that what had been his radio program became a Christian ministry, where those who followed his message on the radio began to gather, along with brothers and sisters who knew his Christian testimony, that he was a godly man who feared God. Therefore, since 1986, together with a government of elders established by God, he has pastored the El Amanecer de la Esperanza ministry.

His Mission

In his apostolic mission, Pastor Fernández has been sent by God to minister the Word of the Kingdom of heaven to churches and ministries throughout the United States, the Caribbean, South America, Spain, and other countries of Europe. His program “Voice of Restoration,” the official voice of the ministry, is rebroadcast on various media in the United States and throughout Latin America, including Europe.

In recent years he has written three books in which he has captured the experiences, teachings, and revelations that, through his dealings with God, he has experienced personally in his pastoral life. His works “Manual of Life in the Spirit” and “That God May Be All in All” were featured by the Association of Hispanic Evangelical Publishers (SEPA) at the gathering of publishing houses (EXPOLIT) held annually in the city of Miami. Both works won first place in the SEPA awards in 2003 and 2004, respectively, as the best-selling books in Latin America in the “Bible Study” category.

In his most recent publication, titled “The Honor of the Ministry,” he spoke to us about the meaning of the calling according to God, and the Lord gave him the grace to draw from the “river of Your pleasures” (Psalms 36:8) a balanced dose of the three elements of the prophetic ministry: edification, exhortation, and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3). Therefore, the revealed word flowed with apostolic authority and prophetic anointing, in such a way that we were challenged by the truth and, at the same time, inspired by the grace of the calling. Pastors and ministers of God from the United States and from countries of Latin America, including Europe, who have had the opportunity to read his publications, have testified that their lives have been greatly enriched, and they acknowledge that these books bear the unmistakable sign that identifies a message when it comes from heaven, and that is that it led them to the heart of God.

His Vision

God’s vision for his ministry is the restoration of the worship of God, of the government of God in the church, and the proclamation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Finally, I want to close this profile with the following words, which Pastor Fernández used as a dedication in one of his books, which clearly define his longing as a man of God and give us a clearer perspective of who he is.

“My heart desires only one thing: to worship Him. My soul has only one longing: to serve Him. My spirit has only one aspiration: to love Him. In my prayer only one plea is heard: May God be all in me and in all!”

Juan Radhamés Fernández, dedication in one of his books
